Speaker:

Elyse M. Kauffman is the Charitable Consultant with the Everence Foundation as part of the Central Pennsylvania team; a position she has held for nearly four years.  Elyse joined Everence with more than 15 years of fundraising experience in the nonprofit sector - serving both large and small organizations including: Philhaven’s Center for Autism and Developmental Disabilities, Excentia’s S. June Smith Center, and York College of PA.  She has a diverse background in understanding the needs of donors and of charitable organizations and serves individuals, families, nonprofit organizations, and churches in Central PA in charitable giving through Everence Charitable Services.  Elyse earned her bachelor’s degree from York College of PA in public relations and speech communications, and an MBA from the same institution.  Elyse was awarded the 2023 National Charitable Consultant of the Year for Everence; her and the Central PA team raised more than $25M last year.  She, and her husband, Justin, and their two daughters – Charlotte Jane and Vanessa Claire – live in York County.

Topic:

Elyse Kauffman, Everence Charitable Consultant, has the privilege to work with both individual donors of the Everence Foundation as well as offer resources and education for nonprofit communities.  Having served in her role for nearly four years – she brings a unique perspective in understanding trends and charitable giving goals for donors who gift appreciated assets.  Join Elyse for an interactive time of learning and discussion regarding planned giving tools and resources including: bequests, qualified charitable distributions, donor advised funds, donor designated funds, charitable gift annuities, and charitable remainder unitrusts (CRUTs).  Elyse will share planned giving data and research, case studies and marketing examples - while the group will also engage in dialoguing with one another to gain more confidence with donor conversations.
